Infinity Ward didn't post a Community Update yesterday: and here's why that might mean something.

Last Friday (28th February), right on schedule Infinity Ward posted their usual community update. You can see it here. It's a bit of a boring read since it doesn't mention the W word.

The week before that (that's right, the 21st February) as usual, they posted the community update. Again, bit of a boring read, but if you're into that sort of stuff you can find it here.

Okay, so I hope by now you're starting to get the picture. Have a guess what Infinity Ward did on the 14th February... Well done.

7th February... wait... nothing. No community update. This breaks the pattern, everybody panic. But no. Something kinda big happened following that weekend. We got Season 2! The one time in recent history that we've missed a Community Update was in the run up to a big event.

31st Jan... Community Update that means one of two things.

  1. The coronavirus has spread to the Infinity Ward social media team, they're all quarantined and they've been advised not to tweet in case it increases the speed of the spread; or

  2. Warzone is dropping next week.

  3. I guess there could also be a whole host of other reasons that aren't fun and don't result in me playing Warzone next week but let's not dwell on that for now. (Not that the coronavirus is "fun" but, I think you get what I'm trying to say.)
